We Welcome All New Volunteers

Tender Loving Cats, Inc. welcomes all new volunteers who have decided to donate their time, energy and love to caring for our cat/kittens(s).  Our main objectives are to keep the cats healthy, safe, loved and adopted into forever homes.
Tender Loving Cats, Inc. is an all-volunteer run organization, many of whom have part or full time jobs and have learned to work together as a team to get an amazing amount of work accomplished. 
Tender Loving Cats, Inc. believes that no one person can succeed alone.  It's only with the culmination of peoples ideas, opinions and talents that something truly great can happen.  This organization belongs to its dedicated volunteers.  Without our volunteers and donors we are nothing.   Tender Loving Cats, Inc. relies on donations from the public, fund raising events and grants to fund our programs and pay expenses.

Volunteering at PetSmart North & West Babylon Adoption Center

If you are interested in volunteering at our PetSmart Adoption Center's located at 1208 Deer Park Ave N. Babylon or 535 Montauk Hwy, W. Babylon applicants must be 18 years of age or 14 years of age accompanied with a parents/guardian 18 years of age or older who will assume responsibility for you, All volunteers must complete our volunteer application and complete a training shift prior to taking a weekly shift.
We need volunteers for morning, afternoon and evening shifts 7 days a week.
We ask that volunteers take one weekly 2 hour shift. The cat/kitten(s) rely on us to be there so its very important that volunteers show up for their scheduled shifts.

At the Tender Loving Cats, Inc. PetSmart Adoption Center's every volunteer should know all aspects of volunteering from feeding and cleaning cages to showing cats for adoption, taking applications and answering basic frequently asked questions from the public. You may decide that you are interested more in one area over another, but we have to all work together cooperatively to ensure our cat/kitten(s) are healthy, safe and loved.

Trapping feral cat/kitten(s) for TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return)

Recovery after spay/neuter of feral cat/kitten(s)

Adoption interviewing

Adoption reference checks

Adoption deliveries
