Help us ring in 2022 by remembering all the incredible rescues from 2021!

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. In 2021 we will have rescued over 650 cats & kittens from the streets and spayed/neutered and funded close to 400 feral cats for Trap-Neuter-Return through our Prevent-A-Litter (PAL) Program. We could not have achieved this without our supporters, team of trappers & rescuers and dedicated foster parents & volunteers. Domestic cats are not indigenous Long Island, they don’t belong suffering on our streets, starving, cold and alone. Each cat & kitten rescued has a unique story that involves countless volunteers who selflessly give of their time & energy so that they can have a better life. TLC has so much to be proud of, we are more then a group of volunteers, we are a family. We listen to each other, learn from each other, respect one another and because of that we can accomplish things we never thought possible… together!

Your donations allow us to help the neediest cats of Long Island.

You can help us continue to rescue the mistreated, save the injured, love the abandoned and homeless cats & kittens living in our very own backyard.
Take a look at some of the cats & kittens we rescued in 2021… (warning: get the tissues ready)

We would like to thank Petco Love for investing $2,000 in our grass roots, foster-based and all-volunteer run organization. In 2020, TLC rescued. saved & loved 800 cats & kittens from the streets of Long Island, NY many of those cats & kittens needing extensive lifesaving medical treatment. Our goal is to meet or exceed that in 2021! We could not attempt to attain this goal without the generosity of the public who made this grant possible by donating to Petco Love.

Tender Loving Cats, Inc. receive a $1,000 cat enrichment grant from the Petfinder Foundation for 2020.

Thanks to a $1,000 enrichment grant that Tender Loving Cats, Inc. was awarded by the Petfinder Foundation, we were able to purchase many different cat enrichment toy favorites: like the One Fast Cat exercise wheel, Go Cat Wand Teasers, Tunnels, easily disinfected wooden scratching post by Designer Pet Products & Catit Vespar with replacement pads and Stretch & Scratch disposable scratchers for all our kitties in Suites at the adoption centers. These items have helped to stimulate their minds and teach them where it’s appropriate scratch in a home, making them more adoptable and more prepared to enter their forever homes. In a shelter-like environment it’s important to have items that can be easily washed and disinfected in communal play areas. This grant has enabled our grass roots shelter to provide such items to our cats & kittens that we otherwise would not have been able to.
